From Passion for Cosmetics to the Creation of Our Brand: An Inspiring Journey of Solutions
Bacana was born out of the passion and determination of Fernanda, a Brazilian pharmacist who began her journey by developing exclusive products to care for her sensitive and dry skin.
“I’ve always worked with cosmetics, creating products for many different brands. But there came a time when I needed to find specific solutions for my own skin.”
In 2013 she moved to France to do a master’s degree in cosmetics chemistry. There, she spent three years not only studying, but also delving deep into the world of production and development of new products.
In 2016, Fernanda took another big step and moved to Berlin, Germany. However, the transition to a colder climate brought unexpected challenges.
“My previously healthy skin became sensitive and extremely dry. In addition, rosacea, a condition I had never faced before, affected my self-esteem deeply.”
With her passion for chemistry and her commitment to quality, Fernanda began to create unique formulas. She looked for inspiration in active ingredients from the Amazon Rainforest and Brazil, many of which were scientifically proven to have positive results on the skin.
“My goal was clear: to make natural cosmetics, full of ingredients that were gentle on my skin, but also effective in improving texture, hydration and blemishes.”
Over time, her products began to show surprising results. Little by little, she went down a path of discovery and developed a diverse range of products. Fernanda tested them on friends and family, carefully observing and questioning each skin type. The result was always the same: they were impressed by the simplicity and effectiveness of her products.
