Why should your skincare include Superfruits?
Superfruits have various important and beneficial components for maintaining the health and balance of the body. Therefore, alongside the usage of their derivatives in our beauty routine – such as oils, extracts and butters – it is also strongly advised to consume these superfruits in our day to day diet and life.
Food has a vital impact on our skin. The combination of a balanced diet and skincare suitable for each type of skin will boost the result in search of the perfect skin. What we eat everyday is closely related to the health of our skin, so it is important to ingest the beneficial nutrients found in superfruits to keep a healthy dermis.
What is the difference with regular fruits?
The term superfruits has become popular in recent years. It is used to describe fruits which have high concentration of vitamins and antioxidants, thus are valuable to heal the skin.
Combinations of superfruits can be used both internally and externally of our body to provide an ideal nutritional aid to the skin. There are many plants that are considered superfruits, such as avocado, acerola, açaí, cupuaçú, goji berry, orange and pomegranate.
The micronutrients found in them have shown to be important allies in maintaining the integrity and repair capacity of the dermis. Amongst them, we can highlight vitamins A, C, D and E, polyphenols and carotenoids, which are components that contribute positively in the inflammatory, antioxidant and healing response. Use of Food Supplements as Nutricosmetics in Health and Fitness Carotenoids are responsible for the orange to yellow coloring and anthocyanins for the red to blue coloring of food.
Vitamin C acts as a collagen stimulant that helps to promote greater elasticity and resistance of the skin. It also works to prevent body flaccidity and the appearance of expression lines, as well as it has a relevant antioxidant effect.
Superfruits that boost beauty
We will talk a little about some superfruits, their main components and their cosmetic applications. They work from the inside to promote beauty from within.
Acerola
Tropical fruit rich in anthocyanins, carotenoids and vitamin C, the latter mainly responsible for the antioxidant function attributed to it. Acerola also has vitamin A, necessary for the renewal of body cells. Its minerals are calcium, iron and phosphorus. Mostly used in cosmetics that are particularly relevant to formulas focused on aged and damaged skin by time and external factors, such as pollution.
Acai (or Açaí)
Superfruit from the Amazon which is widely used as a daily food by traditional communities because of its very energetic power and source of nutrients. It has a high concentration of anthocyanins which gives it a high antioxidant capacity and is therefore a desirable ingredient for many cosmetic formulations aimed at treating premature aging. It also contains the minerals and trace elements such as potassium, calcium and magnesium.
Cupuacu (or Cupuaçú)
Another tropical superfruit from the Amazon that is very tasty and consumed by the local population in the fresh form of ice cream, chocolates, jams and vitamins. It is composed of minerals, mainly potassium, fatty acids and vitamin C.
The very moisturizing Cupuacu butter is obtained from it, which is used for dry skin.
Pomegranate (or Romã)
It is a fruit from the Middle East traditionally consumed in the form of teas, juices and fresh, as a regular fruit. In these cultures, since ancient times, it is seen as a symbol of beauty and fertility. Rich in polyphenols, such as anthocyanins, vitamin C and minerals, it has a proven anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and regenerative effect. These phytochemicals help to eliminate free radicals, responsible for accelerating skin aging. Ideal for mature skin.

This cream is amazing! It is super soft, smells good and leaves me with a great feeling of moisturised and also cleaner skin. It’s a very worth product, it helps to control the skin oiliness and also kind of detox your skin, the feeling after using the mask is a softer, smoother and fresher skin. I use this lip balm to maintain my tattoo upon advice and the fact that the ingredients are “tattoo friendly”.
Although it is not its primary use, I find this lip balm very easy to apply on the tattooed skin. You only need a little quantity and it is spreading well with the finger.
The tattoo remains protected and its color is well preserved so far.

Nice texture. This cream turns your skin fresh. Its perfume is just well balanced – not too strong – just enough to smell a delicate odour when applying the product. As my skin is very thirsty, I need to combine this cream with an oil serum (this is for my case only).

Usei algumas vezes e já posso dizer que estou apaixonada! Outros seruns que já testei sempre deixam minha pele oleosa, comecei a acreditar que esse tipo de tratamento não era pra minha pele (mista). Uma amiga indicou a Bacana Skincare e resolvi testar o Tropical Shine, o sérum é leve e super sequinho, nada pegajoso, deixa aquela sensação de pele aveludada e macia que a gente ama. Também usei como primer e minha make ficou intacta a noite toda! Ótimo produto, super recomendo.

I have been using the product for one month and I have already seen improvements on my skin. It seems clearer and more moist without being oily. The bottle could be better though. Applicator is a bit wobbly which makes it more likely to spill. Smaller version, which I also bought, is also very hard to open and close as the product is oil based. That is the reason for only 4 stars.
Overall I would buy again and continue using it.

I absolutely love the products. The toner is amazing to hidrate the skin, I use it everyday after showing in the morning and before going to sleep. The water in Berlin (where I live) makes the skin super dry and this toner has been a life saver. The bio retinol is also amazing! It doesn’t leave the skin oily, hidrates, gives a nice appearance / color to the skin and it has a very pleasant smell. Totally recommended!

I personally did not like the fragrance, but nothing that bothers me that much and makes me not use the product, since it is not that strong. Faço meu skincare da noite e finalizo com 3 gotas do Retinol. Amo o efeito “glow” na pele que vejo no dia seguinte de manhã.

Sérum muito bom, espalha bem e minha pele absorveu rapidamente. Como sou muito ligada em cheiro, talvez se o sérum tivesse um cheirinho levemente amadeirado, seria mais gostoso.

This is the absolute BEST moisturiser I’ve ever tried! I got sunburnt and my skin didn’t peel thanks to this balm. I applied it all over my face every night and my skin was really moisturised and not dried out by the sun. I’m starting to apply it to my feet, I’m sure the results will be excellent as well.

Ich habe sonst im Herbst und Winter immer sehr trockene Haut. Seitdem ich das Bio-Retinol jeden Abend benutze, ist meine Haut viel weicher und überhaupt nicht mehr trocken. Ich bin begeistert!!
Achei que esse creme do rosto ficou melhor nesse potinho do que no tamanho normal com o propulsor. Toda a linha é ótima, estou usando há três semanas e já sinto melhora na textura da minha pele.
O produto estou gostando bastante. Mais a embalagem e vidro muito pesado. Sempre deixo um na ducha e por acaso hoje caiu no chão. Me deu pavor só de imaginar se ele explode no chão. Poderiam reconsiderar a embalagem deste.
O bom produto mais ainda não consigo usar todos os dias. Estou me acostumando ainda. Na próxima compra pedirei sem cheiro pq não é nada agradável.
